If you believe someone has violated this code of conduct, please reach out code-of-conduct@protocol.ai as quickly as possible. Attendees who engage in unacceptable behavior may be removed from the event. PLN members who violate this Code of Conduct may be suspended or removed permanently from the ecosystem.

Protocol Labs Network Code of Conduct


This Code of Conduct applies to all teams and individuals within the Network, meaning teams that receive funding or support from the Protocol Labs Network.

Some examples of behavior we expect from PLN members include:

Treat network members with fairness and respect
  • Provide a friendly and welcoming environment for all.
  • Do not harass or threaten any PLN member, or anyone else.
  • Do not behave in a way that damages the reputation of your team or the PLN.
Be honest and reliable
  • Follow through on your commitments to the network.
  • Keep off-the-record or confidential information private and secret.
  • Ensure that your team resolves privacy and security issues promptly.
Be respectful of others’ time, attention, and resources
  • Use network resources (e.g., office hours, forums, etc.) prudently.
  • Avoid marketing or soliciting, it is fine to endorse tools that you find useful, but please refrain from blatant marketing or spam.
Find ways to give back to the community
  • Look for ways to get to know other community members, via social events, Discord, etc.
  • Participate in and share your knowledge via office hours or the forum.
  • Be an active member of the community and look for ways to help others.

Some examples of prohibited conduct are listed below. This list is NOT exhaustive:

  • Harassment, discrimination, bullying, retaliation, or inappropriate or abusive workplace conduct.
  • Fighting, threats, inappropriate physical contact, unsafe behavior or other disorderly or improper conduct that may endanger the well-being of others.
  • Theft, dishonesty or unethical behavior.
  • Unauthorized or illegal possession of controlled substances on work-related premises.
  • Use or sale of controlled substances on work-related premises.
